Statement of Faith
Scripture
The 66 books of the Bible are the written Word of God. The Bible is divinely inspired, preserved, and inerrant throughout. Its assertions are factually true in all the original autographs. It is the supreme authority in everything it teaches. Its authority is not limited to spiritual, religious, or redemptive themes but includes its assertions in such fields as history and science. The final guide to the interpretation of Scripture is Scripture itself.

Triune God
The Godhead is triune: one God, three Persons—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each fully God and equal in glory and majesty, self-existent, eternal, infinitely perfect, the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things. For his own glory and by his own decree, God created heaven and earth, time, and all things, visible and invisible, living and nonliving, material and nonmaterial.

Jesus
While fully God, Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, performed miracles, and died on the cross, making atonement for sin. Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and is currently seated at the right hand of God the Father as our intercessor, and shall bodily and visibly return in person to this earth in power and glory as Judge of the living and the dead. All shall be raised from the dead. Those who have died in Christ to eternal life in heaven and those who have rejected him to everlasting punishment. Satan, a fallen angel and the adversary of both God and mankind, will be judged and cast into the lake of fire for eternity.

Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit convicts mankind of sin and enables the sinner to repent and believe in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit indwells, guides, instructs, and empowers each believer to produce the fruits of righteousness.

Sin
Man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only those who put their faith in Jesus Christ alone, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, can be saved. Physical and spiritual death and bloodshed entered into this world upon and as a direct consequence of man’s sin. All mankind are sinners, inherently from Adam and individually (by choice), and are, therefore, subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.

Salvation
All things necessary for our salvation are expressly set down in Scripture, brought to the sinner by grace as the free gift of God. Freedom from the penalty and power of sin is available to man only through the sacrificial, substitutionary death on the cross, the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and His complete and bodily resurrection from the dead. Salvation is a gift received by faith alone in Christ alone and expressed in the individual’s repentance, recognition of the death of Christ as full payment for the penalty of sin, and acceptance of the risen Christ as Savior, Lord, and God. Those who are born of God (born again) are members of the body of Christ, the church, of which He is the head. They are to live in fellowship, uniting in worship, supporting the great commission, and loving one another with pure and sincere hearts. Those who do not believe in Christ are subject to everlasting conscious punishment, but believers enjoy eternal life with God.

Marriage and Family
God created mankind in His image: male (man) and female (woman), sexually different but with equal personal dignity. The term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one naturally born man and one naturally born woman in a single, exclusive union, in a lifetime covenant commitment, as delineated by Scripture. The husband and wife are of equal worth before God since both are created in God’s image. God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other and has commanded that no sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. Any form of sexual immorality is sin. God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking his mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. It is comprised of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption. Parents are to “bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”

Human Life and Dignity
All human life is sacred and begins at conception (the moment of fertilization). Every human life is a unique, living being, created in the image of God, and must be respected and protected both before and after birth. Since all humans are made in the image of God, all humans have equal dignity and value regardless of age (including the unborn), intelligence, gender, physical ability, shade of skin tone, religion, ethnicity, or any other characteristic.

Origins and Creation
The account of origins presented in Genesis is a factual presentation of actual events. Therefore, it provides a reliable framework for scientific research into the origin and history of life, mankind, the earth, and the universe. The days in Genesis are six consecutive, 24-hour days of creation. The special creation of the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, and their subsequent fall into sin is the basis for the necessity of salvation for mankind. The various original life forms, including mankind, were made by God's direct, supernatural, creative acts. Scripture teaches a recent origin of man and the whole creation, with history spanning approximately 4,000 years from creation to Christ. Only limited biological changes have occurred naturally within each kind since creation. The Great Flood of Genesis was a historical event, global in its extent and effect.
